Bishop Jesse J. White Jr., Pastor
Jesse White Jr. was born in Phoenixville, PA in January of 1954. He migrated to Connecticut at the age of two due to his father’s first Pastorate. He attended schools in Waterbury and Hartford, CT. He attended Hartford State Technical college where he studied Civil Engineering Technology. He also attended United Holy Church of America Bible School and has taken courses at the Gordon Conwell Center for Urban Ministerial Education in Boston A resident of Windsor, CT. Bishop White has been the Pastor of the First Church of the Living God of Hartford for the past 11 years. His passion is winning and developing souls for Christ. He is the husband of one wife for twenty seven years and the father of two sons.

ELDER LORRAINE WARD WHITE accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 14 years. She acknowledged her call to the ministry in 1981. Under the leadership of her husband, Bishop Jesse J. White, Jr., Pastor of the First Church of the Living God, she serves as the Senior Associate Pastor, the New Member’s Induction Class Instructor, President of the Ministers’ Board, consultant for the Vessels Unto Honor Women’s Ministry, and consultant for the H.O.P.E Child Care Center of the FCLG. Elder White is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, the Central Connecticut State University, and University of Connecticut, and the Christian Leadership University. Elder White retired from the Hartford Public School System after 32 years of dedicated service to the children and families of Hartford, CT.
Eld. Lorraine White has often stated that her greatest accomplishment in life is receiving Jesus Christ as her personal Savior, and accepting the gift of the Holy Spirit. Her mission is to enhance the Kingdom of God with the spirit of excellence. Her life’s work can be summarized in the Holy Scriptures which states, “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us…(II Cor. 5:20a)
