First Church of the Living God desires to labor in the vineyard & encourage all to experience that unconditional love and endless hope found only in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, infallible and errorless of the original writings.

We believe there is only one true, living God who is the maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, in the beginning, and in the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Truth which proceeds from the Father and Son, and is a gift to the believer: and these three agree as one.

We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ and that He suffered, was crucified, died and buried. The third day He rose again, He ascended into the Father, and His return is imminent to come again to judge the quick and the dead.

We believe in repentance from sin, in the atonement by substitutionary death and shed blood of Jesus Christ for the propitiation of the sins of the world.

We believe that salvation is by grace through personal faith in Jesus Christ, thereby experiencing the new birth.

We believe in baptism by water immersion. As well, we believe in sanctification by the baptism, and the filling and indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the believer’s life.

We believe that the Church is the body and bride of Christ, and is comprised of born again believers. And we desire and work diligently, to encourage all members, to become “born again” Christians.

We believe the commission of Christ is still incumbent on every believer to go into “all the world and preach the gospel” to every man, woman and child.

We believe in the resurrection, ascension, and imminent return of Christ for the church. We acknowledge one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and in you all. AMEN
